Develop Learning Skill in Your Baby Through Affectionate Care

What is learning? We can simply say, getting to know the environment or the world. When does a child starts to learn?: A child starts to learn just after its birth. For a formal learning like school learning, language is very important.  Language connects the teacher and the child. But at early stage your baby knows no language. It can't understand what others speak. It can't speak out what it thinks. But your baby learns through its five senses. Your baby does its learning  by exploring its environment. Its five senses help it to explore things. For example, if a five month old baby is given a toy, it will explore the toy touching it, smelling it, tasting it, hearing it and seeing it. When your baby grows its environment will also become broader. Then your child has so many things to learn and explore.
Independent learning is very important in early childhood. Babies and small children like to explore things, which they are interested in. You can't force your baby or small child to learn what you like. But you can encourage your baby's learning activities. To encourage your baby's learning activities, you should understand one thing: Small children explore their environment, only if they trust in their environment. If your baby is scared of the environment or if it thinks there is a danger in the environment, it will never explore it.
How to make your baby or small child trust in the environment. You can make your baby or small child trust in it through your affectionate care. There is no doubt. You love your baby so much. But you should show your love to your baby through affectionate care. As your baby is dependent, it needs your presence to meet its needs, while playing or exploring the environment. Your baby wants you to help it in its problems. Your baby likes to be observed while it is playing successfully. It likes to be admired by you for its success or achievement. And it likes to be comforted when it have fails in its play activities.
If you are there to help, observe, praise and comfort your baby while it is playing,  your baby will definitely trust in its environment. If your baby trusts in its environment it will automatically start its independent learning activities by exploring its environment.
Final note: Spend lots of time to be with your baby or small child to give affectionate care. The more time you spend with your baby, the more your baby will learn
