Lack of sleep is a big problem that new parents face. Here are some tips to have enough sleep for new parents.

It is always happy to have a new baby for new young parents.  but having lack of sleep is a big problem, which new parents face.  Luckily there are some tips to help new parents to have enough sleep when the new baby comes.  Actually , with a new baby you will never get an over abundance sleep.  But I hope these tips will help you at least get enough sleep to keep sanity.
1.  Take turns:  When the newborn baby starts both parents wake up, though only one attends to the baby.  In the first couple of months both parents might get up each time the baby cries.  This may lead to lack of sleep for both parents.  The best idea is to make a plane of who will get up when the baby cries to comfort the baby.  Actually, taking turns is a good option and will help everyone get just a little more sleep.
2.  Have a nap with your baby:  This will give much needed sleep.  this nap time can be mornings, afternoons or early evenings.  You may feel an extra strength after your nap to care for your baby and do other house work.
3.  Get help from others:  These others can be your parents, siblings, friends or neighbors. Definitely, they may like to help you.  Just hand over your baby in their loving hands and have enough sleep till you feel satisfaction.
4.  Feed your baby before you sleep:  Most of the babies wake during the night because they are hungry.  So if you feed your baby late before you go to bed.  Your baby will sleep until early morning, if it is not hungry.  This will allow you to get some continuous sleep.
5. Change your baby's diaper before you go to sleep:  All babies wake during the night when their diaper is full and wet also.  If your baby is in a new dry diaper your baby will sleep continuously and let you have enough sleep.
6.  Arrange a babysitter:  If you are able to pay for a babysitter just arrange a babysitter for one or two hour once a day or once a week.  Have a nap when your baby is being cared by the babysitter.

Specially, new fathers must understand that a new mother should have enough sleep to regain her energy.  A sleepy mother can not care for her baby well.  Having enough sleep is a must.  so select a suitable method and have enough sleep.

Don't force your children

The activities or play give give to our children should interest the children. We should not force the children to do an activity thought it is good for them. And the activities, which we allow the children to do, should be able to be completed by the children successfully. If the children complete the activity successfully, self-esteem will be developed in them. On the other hand if they are unable to complete, their self-esteem will be damaged, they will be frustrated and they start to misbehave themselves.

Some parents put their unfulfilled childhood wishes on their children's head like a burden. These parents don't think whether their children have interest or they can do it.

Choice giving

Children like to be given choices. That is good for them. here you can see how children are given choices.

1. "What do you like to drink, Orange juice or apple juice?"
2. "Jill after the dinner I can read a story for you. What do you like to hear, a fantacy or a science fiction?"
3. "Kathi, it is raining outside. Do you want to take an umbrella?"
4. "Tim, it is lunch time. Do you want to have lunch?"
5. "Alex, with what colour you are going to paint this picture?"
6. "Tobias, I have not enough money. Do you want to buy this toy?"

All of you can understand the sentences in blue colour are not suitable give as choices. If it is raining outside Kathi should take the umbrella. There is nothing to choose. If it is lunch time Tim should have lunch with others. If the mother has not enough money to buy the toy, it is not a good idea to ask Tobias whether he likes the toy.

Role model

Being a role model is a good technic to guide your children. Children imitate adults who are warm to them and whom they respect.

"Kevin, it is eight O'clock. You should get up early," told kevin's father who was still on bed on a Saturday morning.

What is wrong here. kevin's father only advise kevin but, fail to be a good role model.

"Sare, come here quickly. look, how did I tidy up my room. Now look at your room. Go and tidy up your room right now. If not you can't have your snack," shouted Sara's mother.

What is wrong here? Though Sara's mother was a good role model, she had failed to be warm to Sara.

"Oh! these carrots are very tasty. Lena come and try these carrots. These are good for your skin and eyes," told Lena's mother who was eating carrots.

Lena's mother was a good role model. At the same time she was warm also. Lena always respect her mother as she is always warm to lena. So lena hapily imitats her mother. It is easy for Lena's mother to guide Lena through being a good role model.
